Filter Paper : Ashless

Grade : ۴۲

Cat No. : 1442

Grade 42 Quantitative Filter Paper Ashless (Ash 0.007%), circle

A world standard for critical gravimetric analysis with the finest particle retention of all Whatman cellulose filter papers from GE Healthcare.

Ashless: 0.007% ash maximum for Grades 40 to 44 and a maximum of 0.01% for the 589 Grades. These are very pure filters suitable for a wide range of critical analytical filtration procedures.

Whatman quantitative filters from GE Healthcare are designed for gravimetric analysis and the preparation of samples for instrumental analysis. They are available in three formats designed to meet specific needs.

Grade 42: 2.5 um

Typical analytical precipitates include barium sulfate, metastannic acid, and finely precipitated calcium carbonate.

1)This data shown may be based on historic Whatman records. We are in the process of updating our supporting information as the manufacturing site for these products is changing or have changed already. We will update with new data as soon as it is available (expected to be completed by Jan. 2016). As is normal practice, customers should determine and validate for themselves (as necessary) that the products are suitable for their specific application. 2)Ash is determined by ignition of the cellulose filter at 900°C in air.
